PINPOINT Training Courses

To enable more Rivers Trust staff to advise farmers and land managers on economically sound measures to reduce water pollution from agriculture, PINPOINT is offering 2 national training courses, accredited by the University of Plymouth.

Introductory Module
The Introductory Course is the first stage in a diffuse pollution from agriculture training programme, designed to introduce participants from Rivers Trusts to the physical structure, function and dynamics of the river basin and the issues, problems and approaches to its management and how this relates to the issue and reduction of dwpa.

Advanced Module
The Advanced Course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth knowledge of the diffuse pollution problems and potential solutions found across the farm in terms of economic and environmental savings. Participants can present the merits of different management solutions within an integrated resource management plan prepared for each land holding visited.
