The Trust is an independent organisation, based in Weardale, County Durham, England, working with the local community to carry out a series of environmentally based projects and events.

It has been set up as a non-profit making company limited by guarantee. Since its formation it has carried out a number of projects in Weardale and established links with environmental organisations, local community groups and schools
The Trust aims to build on its existing partnerships by working to identify projects which will benefit everyone connected with Weardale, to make sure its local communities, beautiful landscape, and rich flora and fauna, survive and develop.
