Please note that the final tranche of provisions of the Companies Act 2006 comes into force on 1st October 2009, which make fundamental changes to the Memorandum and Articles of Association for all new companies registered after that date, and effectively render the old guidance obsolete.
Accordingly, we have temporarily withdrawn this section whilst we update our guidance fully to reflect the 2006 Act.
In the meantime you may find that new model forms will appear earlier on the Charity Commission website www.charity-commission.gov.uk. In addition, Companies House forms are being updated too, and you should check their website www.companieshouse.gov.uk to ensure that you complete and send them the most up to date versions.
